All right. I'll bite.

What's this 'party' supposed to be about, exactly?

[Not that he's thinking he'll go. Which may be obvious from the flat tone.]

An amalgamation of wine, women, and song. 1 They will disguise it in the costumes, but mark my words that all three things shall occur.

1 - All human gatherings can be reduced to this, in my experience. Rarely does it ever turn out well, with the exception of an exhibition made for Solomon that I had the fortune to witness. As I recall, it involved marinating the men in wine, then feeding them to the women while they sang.

So... if you're right. Then there's not really any reason to go.

[Not for him, anyway. That last part is just... what is that.]

That depends on the person. Some are quite enamoured with wine, women, and song. Others have some sense about them. Which are you?

Can't sing, can't drink human alcohol, and... there really aren't any turian women here.

I'll be passing, on this one.

Good to see a wet blanket in the crowd! But are you sure you don't want to go and stand sullenly at the fringe? I hear it's quite trendy.

[Wet blanket? What does that...?]

Whose fringe?

The fringe of the party, where you'll stand on the outside and look in. Not fond of that? Try propping up the wall. 2

2 - An overlooked and important job at any gathering. Can't have the walls falling in on the revellers now can we.

And have the walls collapse in on the partygoers? Where is your sense of community and kindness?

You must be psychic to be so certain. 3

3 - The alternative being that you are a mastermind with different designs on this dance than the Keep lord intends. Those are the two ways that you know the outcome of a story, unless you're one of those cheaters that reads the back page first.

The walls aren't going to fall down. That's just... That's stupid.

Walls always fall down, take it from me! 4 Or do you come from a world with no walls.

4 - The exception to this being any wall within which a djinni, afrit, or marid has been sealed. These will survive all tests of time, much to the boredom of the spirit stuck there.
